AND GRAND OPENING FOR
What a year 2020 was and 2021 has been. Marion Matters, Inc., as an organization, survived the global pandemic and a huge part of our success was because of YOU! You answered the call by financially supporting our programs and the participants we serve.

At Marion Matters, we focus on target areas of impact which include, furthering education, employment, and improving financial position. We measure and track progress through a pre and post survey following graduates for up to 36 months. Even through the adversity within the last 12 months, we have great highlights to share! Because of your support in 2020, we were able to:
  • See measurable progress in our target areas: 8% of graduates furthered their education, 23% of graduates became employed, and 38% improved their financial position,
  • Arrange smaller Getting Ahead classes to follow CDC guidelines,
  • Call former participants to provide resources and updates since we were not able to meet for our quarterly S.O.A.R. meetings,
  • Change our fundraising strategy by offering online giving, and,
  • Organize our first virtual campaign, so that we could all stay safe and healthy.
Marion Matters not only survived the pandemic, but we have seen stability and growth on the other side. Because of the generosity of Pillar Community Credit Union, we are celebrating their donation of a new permanent location and the future legacy of the organization. We are now officially located at 810 Kenton Avenue, where the Marion Matters Hope Center will mobilize neighborhood revitalization through truthful communication that promotes; safety, unity, and education while building relationships and resources.

Thank you again for all your support and for choosing to be a part of helping people change their future story! We are thrilled you are on this journey with us.

Appetizers, desserts and drinks, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic will be served. Marion Matters graduates will give a tour of the building and attendees are eligible to participant in two drawings for prize baskets.
